Tonight at 18:00 JST a small rooftop scene went live for the first time, a train passed in the distance, and amayoru officially began.
The idea is simple. We wanted a place that is always on: a window you can leave open in the corner of your screen while you study, work, draw or try to fall asleep. No ads between songs, no algorithm deciding what you should feel next, just four calm scenes that follow the time of day in Japan and a playlist made by people who care about the same small details.
What you will hear
Our first rotation has music from a handful of independent artists we have admired for a long time. Every track was made specifically for the radio or licensed directly from the people who wrote it. We will introduce each artist properly over the coming weeks.
Four programs, one day
The day is split into four programs: Night Rain, Morning Café, Afternoon Study and City Lights. The scene changes with the clock in Tokyo, so if you open the site at lunch in Europe you will probably find yourself on a rooftop at night. We like that. It feels like visiting a friend in another city.

今夜18:00（日本時間）、小さな屋上のシーンがはじめて配信され、遠くを電車が通りすぎ、amayoruが正式にスタートしました。
考えたのはシンプルなことです。いつでも開いている場所がほしかった。勉強や仕事、お絵かきのとき、眠れない夜に、画面のすみに開いておける窓のような場所です。曲のあいだに広告はなく、次に何を感じるべきかをアルゴリズムが決めることもありません。日本の時刻に合わせて変わる四つの静かなシーンと、同じ小さなことを大切にする人たちが作ったプレイリストがあるだけです。
流れる音楽
最初のローテーションには、私たちがずっと好きだった数組のインディーアーティストの曲が並びます。どの曲もこのラジオのために作られたか、作者から直接ライセンスを受けたものです。各アーティストはこれから数週間で、ちゃんとご紹介していきます。
四つの番組、一日
一日は四つの番組に分かれています。ナイト・レイン、モーニング・カフェ、アフタヌーン・スタディ、シティ・ライツ。シーンは東京の時計に合わせて変わるので、ヨーロッパのお昼に開けば、たぶん夜の屋上にいることになります。それも気に入っています。別の街の友だちを訪ねるような感じがするからです。
