Yesterday amayoru turned 100 days old. We celebrated the only way that made sense: an eight-hour broadcast built entirely from your requests.
Over those eight hours, the four hosts read more than 2,000 chat messages and played 96 tracks. The most requested song was "Paper Cranes" by Amane Hoshino, followed closely by "Neon Puddles" by Hanabi Tape. Someone requested the same track 14 times in a row. We noticed, and we played it.

- The busiest hour is 02:00 JST, which is evening in Europe and late afternoon in the Americas.

What we learned
We started this project thinking people would mostly use amayoru to study. It turns out you also use it to cook, to draw, to keep company with someone who is far away, and to fall asleep in hospital rooms and night buses. Many of you wrote to us to say so. We read every message, even if we cannot reply to all of them.
What is next
We are working on the first seasonal scene for autumn, a proper archive of past broadcasts, and a way for artists to send us their music. Thank you for 100 days. Here is to the next hundred.

8時間のあいだに、4人のホストは2,000件以上のチャットを読み、96曲を流しました。いちばんリクエストが多かったのは星野あまねの「Paper Cranes」、僅差で花火テープの「Neon Puddles」。同じ曲を14回続けてリクエストした人もいました。気づいていましたし、ちゃんと流しました。

わかったこと
はじめは、みんな主に勉強のためにamayoruを使うと思っていました。でも実際には、料理をしながら、絵を描きながら、遠くにいるだれかと一緒に過ごすために、病室や夜行バスで眠るために使ってくれていました。たくさんの方がそう書いてくれました。すべてに返信はできなくても、メッセージは全部読んでいます。
