From 23 December until the end of the year, the rain in Night Rain will turn into snow.
This is our second seasonal scene and the most requested one by far. Ever since the autumn special, the chat has been asking one question every night: "Will it snow?" Yes. It will snow.
What changes
The window gets a thin line of snow on the frame. Flakes drift slowly instead of falling, and the city outside turns pale blue. Shizuku's desk stays the same, including the pink mug, because some things should never change.
The playlist changes too. For one week, Night Rain will lean even quieter: more piano, fewer drums, and a few new tracks written specially for the season by tsukiyo. and Amane Hoshino.
Holiday messages
On 24 and 25 December, the hosts will read holiday messages from the chat between songs. Last year we would not have believed there were enough of you to fill two nights. This year we are not sure two nights will be enough.
New Year countdown
On 31 December we will move to City Lights for a countdown in every time zone. We will celebrate midnight in Tokyo with fireworks over the rooftop, and then keep celebrating every hour until midnight reaches the last of you.

12月23日から年末まで、ナイト・レインの雨が雪に変わります。
二つめの季節限定シーンで、ダントツでリクエストの多かったものです。秋のスペシャルのあと、チャットでは毎晩同じ質問が出ていました。「雪は降りますか？」降ります。
変わるところ
窓枠にうっすらと雪が積もります。雪は落ちるのではなく、ゆっくりと舞い、外の街は淡い青に染まります。しずくの机はそのまま。ピンクのマグカップも。変わらないほうがいいものもあるからです。
プレイリストも変わります。この一週間のナイト・レインは、いつも以上に静かに。ピアノを増やしてドラムを減らし、つきよ。と星野あまねがこの季節のために書いた新曲も流れます。
年末のメッセージ
12月24日と25日は、曲のあいだにホストがチャットのメッセージを読みあげます。去年の私たちは、二晩を埋めるほどのリスナーがいるなんて想像もしませんでした。今年は、二晩で足りるかどうか心配です。
年越しカウントダウン
12月31日はシティ・ライツに移って、すべてのタイムゾーンでカウントダウンをします。東京の0時は屋上の花火でお祝いし、そのあとも最後のひとりのところに0時が来るまで、一時間ごとにお祝いを続けます。
