Spring is here, and for the next two weeks the trees outside the Afternoon Study window will be in full bloom.
The Sakura Special is our first spring scene. The sky turns softer, the hills turn pink, and petals drift into the room through the open window, past Mochi, across the desk and out of the frame. Mochi has been very patient about it. Mostly.
A playlist for new beginnings
In Japan, cherry blossom season overlaps with the start of the school and work year. A lot of you are starting something new right now: a course, a job, a move to another city. So the Sakura playlist is gentle and hopeful, full of acoustic guitars and light melodies, with new tracks from Mio Sakuraba and Yuzu Sodafloat.
Wallpapers
We added six new sakura wallpapers to the gallery, for both desktop and phone. They are free for personal use. Please do not sell them, but feel free to make them your lock screen for the whole year.
Hanami from home
Not everyone can go to see the blossoms in person. If you cannot this year, we hope this small window into spring helps a little. On 6 April from 12:00 JST we will host a three-hour "hanami from home" broadcast. Bring snacks.

新しいはじまりのプレイリスト
日本では、桜の季節は新学期や新年度のはじまりと重なります。今まさに何かを始めようとしている人も多いはずです。新しい講座、新しい仕事、別の街への引っ越し。だから桜のプレイリストは、アコースティックギターと軽やかなメロディがたっぷりの、やさしくて前向きな選曲にしました。桜庭みおとゆずソーダフロートの新曲も入っています。
壁紙
ギャラリーに、PC用とスマホ用の桜の壁紙を6枚追加しました。個人利用は無料です。販売はご遠慮ください。でも、一年中ロック画面にするのは大歓迎です。

だれもが桜を見に行けるわけではありません。今年は行けないという方に、この小さな春の窓が少しでも届けばうれしいです。4月6日12:00 JSTからは、3時間の「おうちでお花見」特番を配信します。おやつをご用意ください。
