One year ago today, a rooftop scene, one train and 47 listeners. Today, amayoru is one year old, and we are writing this with the 12-hour anniversary broadcast running in another tab.
We have been trying to think of a way to say thank you that does not sound like every other anniversary post. We could not find one, so here it is plainly: thank you for listening, for writing, for drawing fan art of Mochi, and for telling your friends about a small radio station that does not even have an app.
The year in numbers
- 365 days, 8,760 hours, zero planned interruptions (and three unplanned ones, sorry).
- Ten resident artists and 140 tracks in rotation.
- Five seasonal scenes: autumn, winter, New Year, rainy café and sakura.
- The longest single listening session we know of: 31 hours, by someone writing a thesis.
What changes in year two
We are rebuilding the archive so you can find past specials more easily. We are also redesigning the Morning Café scene, which was the first one we ever drew and, honestly, it shows.
Today's broadcast
The anniversary broadcast runs from 12:00 to 24:00 JST. Every resident artist has picked three tracks, and each host will tell the story of how they joined the station. At 21:00 JST we will show the new amayoru logo animation for the first time.

1年前の今日、屋上のシーンと電車が一本、そして47人のリスナー。今日、amayoruは1歳になりました。この文章は、別のタブで12時間の記念特番を流しながら書いています。
ありきたりな記念日の投稿にならない「ありがとう」の言い方を考えていましたが、見つかりませんでした。だから素直に書きます。聴いてくれて、メッセージをくれて、モチのファンアートを描いてくれて、アプリすらない小さなラジオ局のことを友だちに話してくれて、ありがとう。
数字で見る1年
- 365日、8,760時間、予定していた中断はゼロ（予定外の中断は3回、ごめんなさい）。
- 所属アーティスト10組、ローテーション曲140曲。
- 季節限定シーンは5つ：秋、冬、お正月、雨のカフェ、桜。
- 私たちが知るかぎり最長の連続視聴：論文を書いていた方の31時間。
2年目に変わること
過去のスペシャルを見つけやすくするため、アーカイブを作り直しています。モーニング・カフェのシーンもリニューアルします。いちばん最初に描いたシーンで、正直なところ、それが見てわかってしまうので。
今日の特番
記念特番は12:00から24:00 JSTまで。所属アーティスト全員が3曲ずつ選び、ホストたちはそれぞれがこの局に来たいきさつを話します。21:00 JSTには、新しいロゴアニメーションを初公開します。
